So I've been checking some movies out when I came across Chirins/Ringing Bell and the whole movie just reminded me of Ratonhnhaké:ton. Even the way adult Chirin speak is similar to him so potential au?
… so… for those who don’t know. Ringing Bells looks like this:
Tumblr media
But the story is very dark and sounds a lot like Ratonhnhaké:ton’s story as nonny says.
The idea is that Chirin is a carefree lamb whose mother is killed by a wolf. He follows the wolf and is trained by the wolf even though the wolf knows that Chirin wants to kill him.
It’s… dark. And my parents let me watch it as a kid because of how the VHS cover XD
And now I’m thinking of an AU where, instead of going to Achilles, Ratonhnhaké:ton goes to Haytham. He believes that the Templars kill his mother (maybe Juno even whispers it) and Haytham trains him as both an Assassin (from Edward’s training) and as a Templar.
By the end of it, Ratonhnhaké:ton learns that Haytham didn’t order the attack on his village but he realized that the path of the Templars are not the right path.
It ends with Ratonhnhaké:ton killing Haytham after he had taken out every other Templars in the colony.
And even after Haytham’s death…
The Assassin Brotherhood didn’t accept him because his actions were also not the actions of the Brotherhood.
He was neither a Templar nor an Assassin.
And, in the end…
He was all alone.

Promptis/Gladnis Vampire AU lore
I thought I’d compose a little bit of a vampire/werewolf/human lore guide to go along with my Promptis and Gladnis AU that I’m writing. :D Vampires - It takes three days for a new vampire to turn.  Turning is a painless process, as the vampire is 'dead' while it happens. - Still feel pain, but have extremely rapid healing abilities.  Can only be killed by decapitation or a wooden stake straight to the heart. - Do not sleep, and thus do not dream.  They can rest and daydream, but otherwise, they are aware 24/7. - Can survive off of any blood.  Human, animal; fresh, donated.  Some vampires have made synthetic blood that can sustain vampires temporarily in an emergency, but it should only be used in case of emergency because it's known to be highly addictive, and not as nutritious as real blood. - Have to eat once every three days, or they become frenzied.  Frenzies are uncontrollable, and they have to feed, or else they'll attack the first thing that comes into their sight. - Each have a 'soulmate' whose blood smells or tastes far more irresistible than regular human blood to them.  It isn't unknown--though it is rare--for a werewolf to be a vampire's blood soulmate. - Eyes are red when they're hungry, black when they're frenzied, normal color when they're 'safe.' - Veins are filled with venom, which is an opalescent purple and blue liquid.  To humans, unless they have to be turned, it is poisonous. - Normally can't see their own reflection or go out into the sunlight, but are able to with the help of a light enchanted ring.  These rings are very expensive, and are generally only available to vampires of means or with high standing. - Vampires don’t instantly burn up in the sunlight, it’s more of a slow and painful burn to ash.  If they’re quick enough to find their way back into the shadows, they can still survive.
Werewolves - Quasi-immortal.  They are slightly squishier than vampires, in that they can still be injured in classical ways, but they have enhanced healing and age significantly slower than humans.  An average werewolf lifespan is 300-400 years. - Are incapable of catching normal human illnesses. - Can only turn on full moons.  Lose full control of their faculties when they turn.  Certain werewolves have been known to lock themselves away until the full moon is over. - Are weak to pure silver.  It's the only way to gravely injure them and not have them quickly regenerate or heal. - Eyes are normal color, until the full moon is nearing.  In the week before a full moon, their eyes change to a shade of yellowish silver, almost like brass. - To become a werewolf, it is necessary to be bitten by a werewolf in their wolfish form at the time of the full moon. When the werewolf’s saliva mingles with the victim’s blood, contamination will occur. - If attacked by a werewolf that is still in human form, the victim may develop certain mild, wolfish characteristics such as a fondness for rare meat, but otherwise should not be troubled by long-term ill effects. However, any bite or scratch given by a werewolf will leave lasting scars, whether or not he or she was in a wolf’s form at the time of the attack.
Hybrids - Vampire-werewolf hybrids are possible, if extremely rare.  The possibility for hybridism comes from the siring wolf’s saliva passing DNA into the werewolf’s bloodstream. - Only werewolves can be turned into hybrids, as they still have blood in their veins.  Once a human becomes a vampire, they’re unable to turn into a hybrid. - Niflheim has had several werewolves in captivity, trying to breed hybrids, but has thus far been unsuccessful. - Hybrids shed the weakness to garlic and stakes to the heart, but keep the weakness to silver. - Hybrids are effectively immortal, just as vampires are.  The only way to kill them is with a silver bullet to the heart or the brain. - A hybrid is physically stronger and faster than a vampire, and can shift at will instead of only on full moons.  They also retain all memory from their shifts. - Are able to eat human food, but must feed on blood once every three days, or else they will become hungry and then frenzied, just like a vampire.
Humans - Some 'less charitable' vampires keep humans as blood slaves.  They're locked up in dungeons and fed only enough to survive.  Every time their vampire is hungry, they're drained nearly to death. - These same vampires will occasionally breed humans to have a 'superior' bloodline, and make their blood taste all the better and energize the vampire even more. - When a human is a vampire's blood soulmate, their blood will take on a distinctive taste and scent, which differs from person to person.  If the person prefers sweet, it will taste and smell sweet.  If the person prefers sour, it will taste and smell sour.  If the person prefers spicy, it will taste and smell spicy. -  In turn, certain humans' blood can repulse vampires.  This case is rare, but these humans are considered the fortunate ones, as they can walk freely at night and not have to worry about being attacked.
